V-Silver- Cost Of Light & Everything I Couldn't Say (CD) (PREORDER)
V-Silver is the New York-based shimmering alter ego of singer, songwriter, and record producer Vanessa Silberman. Her music fuses prism-colored alt-pop with pastel-glossed, blooming melodies - layered with radiant synths, cinematic textures, and raw, honest lyrics that build emotional tension through heart-forward storytelling. On her EP Side A, The Cost of Light, V Silver explored the brighter, pop-facing half of the album, touching on themes of empowerment, courage, beauty, ambition, and emotional connection, while also wrestling with the sacrifices required to evolve and live fully in the light. Side B, Everything I Couldn't Say - part of the full-length album The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn't Say - reveals a rawer, quieter, and more stripped-down side of Silberman's sound, weaving together acoustic guitar, country-inspired samples, hypnotic percussion, haunting strings, airy synths, and harp, with some moments featuring only Vanessa accompanied by guest cellist Michelle Rose, also an artist on Silberman's label. These arrangements support an empowering yet vulnerable message - embracing individuality, questioning politics, speaking your truth, and softly letting go of heartbreak. Together, The Cost of Light and Everything I Couldn't Say form a full-length album built around dual truths: light and shadow, empowerment and vulnerability, shimmer and bare-souled honesty - created for dreamers chasing hope, healing, and the next version of themselves. The album was self-produced, mixed, and mastered by Silberman, with the exception of "Chasing Magic," which was co-produced and mixed by Justin Hergett. "Everything I Couldn't Say is billed as the more meditative side of the album, trading in the glittering synth pop textures of Side A for a plaintive sound rooted in acoustic instrumentation and vulnerable lyricism." - Under the Radar. "Ladyhawke's magical euphoria colliding with Robyn's heart-on-sleeve electro-pop and Cibo Matto's art-pop sensibilities, straight out of a Girls episode circa 2007." - SPIN MAGAZINE
