Orquesta Suprema- The Salsa Family (CD)
One of the original exponents of the true "Miami Sound" was Orquesta Suprema, a well oiled twelve piece Cuban salsa orchestra that were extremely popular in the early to mid 1970's in the Miami area. Their brand of Salsa mixed with Afro-Cuban rhythms was contagious, and when Suprema played a dance, they drew thousands of people with little or no advertising. Their rare vinyl albums are now highly prized by Cuban music enthusiasts. "The Salsa Family," recorded in the early 1970's, is finally available in the digital domain. All selections newly remastered.
