Gabriel Lewis Laughlin, better known as John Gabilou, is one of Tahiti's most revered singing stars, and has been for well over forty years. In 1966, John became part of the well known group the Barefoot Boys and scored a hit with the song "Petite Island." Gabilou then pursued a solo career and became a big star outside of Tahiti, especially in France. Presented here is Gabilou's rare self titled 1978 release featuring arrangements by the great Don Ralke, available for the first time in the digital domain. All selections newly remastered.
